Radiographic test method is a method used to detect building discontinuities in almost all material types. Its basic principle is that the rays emitted from a radiation source are directed to the material, these rays penetrate the material and affect a radiography film placed on the back of the material. Due to the differences in absorbing these radiation between the main material and the existing discontinuities (cracks, slag, gas gap, etc.) in the material, different affected areas are formed on the radiographic film. Due to this difference in interaction, color differences occur on the film and thus discontinuities are made visible to the eye.
Today, the radiography method is one of the most widely used methods in welded manufacturing, defense industry, aerospace industry, pressure vessels, automotive, power plant and production facilities.
